Track Days

Overview

VCMC organizes lapping days at the River’s Edge race course at Mission Raceway Park. Mission is a 9-turn, 1.4 mile long permanent road racing circuit.

VCMC continues to offer great value to track day participants by providing tonnes of seat time, instruction for novices, lunch, refreshments, and professional turn workers to keep the event safe, fun, and efficient.

Our track events are open to drivers of various experience levels. Drivers are grouped by experience level to ensure that all the drivers and vehicles in each session are evenly matched. First timers and new novices attend an orientation session at the start of the day and are accompanied by senior drivers on reconnaissance laps until they are ready to drive solo. We cap our lapping day entries so that group sizes remain manageable and everyone gets plenty of track time.

Rules & Regulations

VCMC track day events are run under CACC Lapping Regulations. The regulations cover driver eligibility and vehicle requirements.

In addition to the regulations, VCMC requires that all drivers have some performance driving experience (e.g. autocross, time trials, lapping, performance driving school, etc.). An excellent way to meet this requirement is to attend one of our autocross events or the Velocity driving school.

Vehicles must undergo a compliance check at the track before they are permitted to run. This is not a full mechanical inspection. It is ultimately the driver’s responsibility to ensure that the vehicle is safe and meets all of the requirements.

Location

VCMC track events take place at the River’s Edge at Mission Raceway Park, 32670 Dyke Road, Mission, BC.
